What are the advantages and disadvantages of banning the use of private motor vehicles in city centres? |
In today’s world, with the help of transportations, such as cars, trains, buses, we can get to places easily and speedily. However, so many personal vehicles in modernised society are bringing us many problems. Now, the regulation of using their personal transportation in city centres is an issue we have to be considered. First of all, the problem of air condition in city area has become one of the most important environmental problems we have to solve. If the regulation of using personal vehicles became effective in city centres, obviously we would be able to reduce the amount of air pollution, especially in city areas, and even more the problem of global warming caused by gases emitted by lots of personal cars could be solved by execution of the rule. What is more, there are so many people who drive their car to commute. Surely, it brings about the problem of traffic jams in city areas, especially in the morning and evening. Some people spend their time on commuting from home to their workplace for 3 or 4 hours. It is a waste of time. If they use the public transportations it would bring them the time to read books and newspaper and also they will be able to sleep during that time. Although there are bad aspects of using public transportations, some advantages could be followed. Some people may be inconvenient while they are using public transportations. In any case, they will not be able to do anything because of a large crowd of people in the transportations they are using. However, while using the private transportations we do not think about the problem of complication in the transportation. We can listen to music loudly as much as we want and we do not need to say sorry to other people like when we put the other’s shoes. |
