Many people believe that money and
possesions are overestimated in a society, while others maintain that it would
have positive effects on quality of people's life.
On the one hand, a number of people say
that possessions and money are regarded as too much significant things in the
current social circumstance. This is a serious issue because it would have a
negative impact on the diversity of occupation. Unlike the past, to specify,
students are more likely to be dentists or CEOs rather than artists or writers in
order to receive higher salaries. This recent social trend could deprive the
society of numerous opportunities to have great works and novels in the future.
On the other hand, some people argue that
putting a focus on the possessions and money would have a positive influence
from the perspective of the society. This is because people's desire to earn
money and have good items can make them more creative in a helpful way. For
example, companies could be motivated to find or develop services or products
which the majority of people are in need of to have a large amount of money.
Accordingly, the efforts to maximize the profit would play an important role in
improving the overall quality of people's life in the long term.
In conclusion, although both ideas are
somewhat reasonable, I believe that money and possessions should be treated
less significant. This is because the focus on these would justify their side
effects such as the uniformity of people's life.
