In some countries, the widespread use of the internet has given people more freedom to work or study at home instead of traveling to work or college. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?
It is true that a lot of people are using
the Internet to study or work at home instead of working at a work and studying
at a college. Some people claim that the main advantage is that one can save
time as well as money. However, others argue that the crucial disadvantage is
that one cannot focus on their tasks.
To begin with, there are a lot of people
saying that working and studying at home have more benefits. To be precise,
since not going to work or a college, one can save not only time to commute but
also money charged to take the public transportation or fuel cars. Furthermore,
working and studying at home is very beneficial for the disabled. What I mean
is that, they have difficulty of going anywhere, so it takes more time to
commute than others. With this reason, the disabled don’t have to go out and
can have more opportunities to get a job. Therefore, use of the Internet to
study and work should be more widened.
On the other hand, working and studying at
home can cause indolence. To be specific, people who work and study at home are
tend to not focus on their assignments. Not working and studying, they spend
time on doing their hobbies and talking to their family. For this reason, since
they cannot concentrate on and finish their tasks on time, people don’t have to
work and study at home.
In conclusion, as stated above, both views
have strong points. However, it seems that there are more benefits of working
and studying at home. Thus, the advantage is more beneficial the the disadvantage
