It is a common belief that students should not be forced to study art and music classes in academic courses. but I personally believe that art and music classes should be mandatory subjects in school. To begin with, children can foster their creativity by learning art and music. This is because art and music classes helps children to communicate feelings and express themselves. For example, most children in Korea should have taken these classes since they entered elementary school. That is the reason why they are used to its academic environment and aware of the importance of these subjects. As a result, they can improve their creativity with art and music classes. This shows that children need to study art and music from their childhood. On top of that, making art and music classes compulsory can create opportunity for students to relieve stress during the school day. This is because they would take breaks from intensive courses such as math and science. According to a study, the majority of children could reduce stress by drawing pictures or listening to the musics. As a result, having these classes helps students refreshed and recharged. This illustrates that learning art and music classes is essential to children's mental and physical health.
To sum up, being mandatory of music and art classes is a contentious topic because there are opinions that support and oppose this basic ideas. However, I personally believe that children have to take art and music classes because it helps them relieve stress and develop creativity. |
