The diagram illustrates how a geothermal power plant generates electricity.
Generally, in order to generate electricity by using a geothermal power plant, it takes 5 steps. in In this process, cold water is heated to hot water and it turns into steam energery then, finally, the vapour is used to trun a turbine and generate electricity.
Looking more closely, cold water is sent to through a injection well which is 4.5Km in length below the surface of the ground, and in order to send water to it, a water pump is used (이렇게 길게 늘릴 필요는 없고, 그냥 애초에 sent 대신 pumped 라고 적어주시면 됩니다.). Once the water reaches reaching the injection well, it go through the geothermal zone which is made of hot rocks, and the water is heated during the process becomes hot there. Then, the hot water arrives the production well. At the production well, the hot water is pumped up to (여기의 경우도, 가열된 물이 production well 을 '통해' 위로 올라가는 과정이므로 위의 injection well 과 비슷하게 수정해주세요~) a condenser where the hot water turns into steam. Then, the steam moves to the space where turbine is located and it turns the turbine. Next, the turning turbine supplies supplys the movement energy to a generator, and finally the generator produces electricity. |
