At the beginning of the chart, beef was one of the most popular meats. This figure was approximately 700 grams per person per week, but it dropped to about 350 grams between 2001 and 2007. Duck consumption showed a decrease in a similar way, and this figure fell from 500 grams to approximately 300 grams.
Consumptions of veal and goat remained relatively stable rate throughout the period. However, it is noteworthy that goat consumption increased dramatically by approximately 200 between 2003 and 2005, but it shrank again to approximately 100 grams between 2005 and 2007. In contrast, chicken and beef consumptions rose steadily over the period, but it is notable that consumption of chicken almost doubled between 2001 and 2011. This figure increased from 450 grams to about 900 grams throughout the period.
