▶ Your Answer :
Recently, people
are living and sharing with a society of information. Most of young
people are interested in an online service and waiting for new services.
However, on most old generation, this social trend affect negatively, which absolutely abosolutely becomes an estrange form for the original purpose
which is helping the
old.
Admittedly,
young adults, who are flexible to adapt new trends, enjoy comfortable on-line
services. They manage their bank accounts and send the messages via internet.
To them, it seems that there is no negative influence coming from this high
technology.
However,
numerous elders have had difficulties in learning new IT skills. They have to
learn “how to control on-line system” as well as key board typing skill. According to BBC, it
criticized on that the health on-line service was so difficult to
self-control for elderly people except for a family aid. Not only is the health
service in which old generation felt distressed, but also in the public
service. For example, it is easy to find seniors who wait for assistance in a public office
despite the fact that most public affairs can be dealt with a computer. Furthermore,
the worse situation is that the society has been changing to technology
oriented direction. It is not an option to learn about the knowledge of
information system, but the mandatory task the society members must learn in
order to enjoy convenient life.
In conclusion,
although having some advantages for young generation in modern society,
Information system is not easy to adapt for the elderly. Thus, in my point of view, government and
public organizations have to reduce such reversed outcomes through changing the
information system more elder friendly. |
