Recently, while some people say that it is beneficial to work for
different organisations, others insist that working for a single organisation
is more beneficial. I think the both ways have their advantages. However, the
latter one has more advantages over the other one. In the following parts of
this essay, I will present both views and emphasize my points.
Working at different places have has some
merits. First, workers can experience diverse industries, environments, or
strategies through different work places. For example, for a specific industry
like telecommunication, there are different companies like Samsung, LG, and SK
Telecom. The companies are using use different
strategies and have differing atmospheres. So,
one can learn and experience about their different skills to make a profit.
Second, one can be trained to adapt to different environments. Upon changing a
workplace, we have to make relationships with new colleagues and adapt to a
different role. So, one can have an ability to adjust to such a different
circumstance.
However, working in a same company has great advantages. First, one is
more likely to have a chance to develop his or her career in the same company.
For example, let’s focus on the semiconductor industry. By working in the same
company for a long time, we can deal with core technology and become adept at
improving professional skills about that it.
Second, we can make broad and intimate relationships with colleagues. To be
specific, if you stay in the same company for a long time, you can have more
chances to get along with your colleagues and make personal relationships with
them. Last but not least, we are likely to get promotion when we stay in the
same company and gain a strong
position there. That means a company assesses
its employees by seeing their commitment to the company. For example, more
companies appoint their C-level employee not from an external
market but from their internal pool.
To sum up, I have presented advantages of the both ways. However, I think
working in the same company has more significant merits for three the above critical reasons.
