An increasing
concern for many people around the world is that the roads are getting crowded
and air is getting dirty. There are those who say that the government should increase
of oil the price of oil to reduce this issue. I firmly disagree with this idea, and this
essay will give my opinion and provide possible solutions.
From an overall
perspective, there are two reasons why I believe that increasing price of gas
is not an appropriate solution. The primary reason for this is that people can
suffer from the price of petrol. If the government rises the its price dramatically,
the entire economy can be collapsed. For example, the price of both buses and
subways could increase, and people who work as a truck driver could earn less
money because of expenditure for fuel. Secondly, it cannot be a fundamental
solution to decrease traffic. Despite of increasing price of fuel, bus drivers
and truck drivers would still need to drive to make money, so traffic jam and
pollution problems cannot be solved.
On the other hand,
there are two solutions which are more effective on social problems. Perhaps,
the strongest solution is that for the government and municipalities should to improve
public transportation. If people take subways or buses more often, there would
be less cars on the roads and less emissions of carbon dioxide. A second solution
is campaigns. (적절한 동사 등을 추가해서 문장을 더 완성도있게 높여주세요~) People can be encouraged by campaigns to take fewer private cars
and to take public transport more, which in turn leads to decrease of the
problems.
In conclusion,
traffic congestions and pollutions are main social problems which will continue
to demand our attention for the foreseeable future. I believe that increasing
price on petrol cannot be the best way to solve this these problems, but and the improvement
of transport and campaigns can be a better solution.
