This chart shows the consumption of meat such as chicken, beef,
duck, veal, pork and goat in Spain between 2001 and 2011.
At
the beginning of the period, the beef was the most popular meat in Spain. The
figure was slightly higher than 700g. In contrast, the consumption of goat
shows showed the lowest figure that was about 100g but, between 2003 and 2005 the goat
consumption in Spain accelerated.
Between 2005 and 2007 the consumption of the
beef and goat was diminished rapidly. During this time, these figures decreased
to 380g and 120g respectively. However, there was interesting change after 2005.
The consumption of the chicken accelerated while the consumption of the beef
was continued falling. As a result, both of these figures were almost the same
about 580g. In 2011, the chicken was the most popular meat in Spain and its
figure was about 890g.
Overall, it is seen that the consumption of
the goat and veal showed relatively stable trends between 2001 and 2011.
Meanwhile, the chicken and the pork did showed the most notable increases in
consumption. |
