Q. The pie charts below show the percentage of electricity production by fuel source in France in 1990 and 2010.
As an overall trend, it is clearly apparent the use of electricity production by fuel sources had dropped except for nuclear power, which increased noticeably. The lion share of electricity production in France in 1990 and 2010 was for Nuclear power, whereas natural gas experienced the major declined in percentage.
In 1990, nuclear power as a source of energy stood at 17% of electricity production in France. Natural gas and coal both showed the same percentage by 28% and oil was not far behind. However, the use of hydro power indicated only a small proportion of electricity production in 1990 and 2010.
Two resources of energy production in France in 2010, both of natural gas and coal, dropped respectively, and that was a short 13% down for coal and a far higher decrement of 4% for natural gas. Also, natural gas and oil were the same percentages even they provided a different amount of electricity production in 1990.
