In my opinion, live in home country after retire is better than move to other countries in budge and life qulity aspect.
Firstly, If you move to foreign countries then you may feel a culture conflict. You will experience it even from the country where use a same language and religion. And it may worked as a obstacle to make friends. Therefore the boundaries of social activity that you can have will be very limited. Of course you can meet people who came from your country at there but I think it won't enough volumes for you because our network is bigger than you expected.
You can keep your close people if you choice to stay in your home country. And you can easily keep in touch them.
Secondly, You can't save the money even you move to emerging country where have low consumer prices if you expect you can enjoy same living quality. And you need to spend extra money for moving there. - And if you want to eat your home country's food than it may require more money than the price that you pay on your home country. In my experience, I needed to spend about 20%-100% extra pay for eat my home country's food when I went to business trip abroad.
The Last problem is you are alien to them, I think it is critical for you. Even though the sense of deversity looks getting accepted to people nowadays but still we can see many conflict that caused by skin color. Some country don't open the opportunity to buy their real estate or access permission for their insurance. It may make the feeling that you don't belong there.
In conclusion, moving to foreign countries have a lot of disadvantage in apsect of money and culture. So you need to reconsider it if you didn't think about it before. |
