The Line graph gives information concerning how many people took land or sea trips between the years 2010 and 2017.
The chart clearly shows that, despite slight fluctuations in the number of sea and land tourists in the Caribbean island over 7 years, the combined total of these tourists sharply increased more than threefold, showing from 1 million visitors in 2010 to 3.5 million visitors in 2017. However, although this overall rise, there are two years when the number of tourists decreased by travel method.
In 2010, the number of land travelers fell by half to 0.25 million tourists before, while the number of sea travelers substantially increased to 1.25 million tourists, respectively. On the other hand, in 2016, there is a slight decrease in the number of cruise tourists (1.25 million visitors), while the number of land tourists steadily increased (1.5millions of visitors) and had more visitors than cruise travelers for the first time. This shows that both of these figures went down once each, but then, these figures went up to 2 million cruise tourists and 1.5 million land tourists untill 2017, showing the overall increase.
Ultimately, it is evident that the number of tourists visiting a Caribbean island substantially increased between 2010 and 2017, and it is notable that many people still prefer to stay on the island more than on cruise ships even after 7 years. |
