It is a common belief that permitting children’s everyday decisions such as food, clothes, and entertainment tends to affect their personality that they only consider themselves. However, some people believe that it is necessary for kids to give daily options, even though some things happen to affect them. On the other hand, I believe that parents should restrict their offspring's daily matters as they are likely to become selfish.
To begin with, allowing daily life decisions such as what to eat, wear, or play is important for children because they should learn responsibility from their previous behaviour. For example, some young people tend to have a lot of fast-food, soft drinks, or sweet snacks without their parents’ permission, this overeat habit leads to children obesity that sometimes affect their socialization in the school. However, these negative effects are able to teach them responsibility for how to endure or overcome tough situations. If parents limit insignificant decisions, they should not find their breakthrough.
On the other hand, it is a common belief that parents do not accept children’s daily matters because they probably have negative traits when they have done everything that they desire. For instance, if children have options to choose whatever they want to eat, wear, and play, they might not be able to socialize with other people such as understanding others' minds or empathy because they only know about themselves. This shortage of socialization causes children’s character flaws as selfish or spoiled. Giving daily decisions might ruin children's personality and possibly affect society.
To sum up, this essay argues both sides of views allowing children’s everyday matters. I believe that parents should not allow their offspring’s everyday decisions because they are still immature which means that they do not have a particular ego that they cannot distinguish what is wrong or right decision that they make.
