In many developing countries, cars can be both problems and solutions. In this regard, it is often argued that they have more benefits for the life of individuals. However, some people think that the convenience harms the environment. Personally, I also agree with them and will discuss the reasons in this essay.
Actually, having cars can improve the living standard of people. Especially in cities, public transportation systems are well developed, but it is sometimes complicated to transfer because everyone has different destinations. This congestion often makes the commuters late at work in the busy morning, and for them to avoid this problem, it will be helpful to bring their own cars. They will be able to find better routes that minimise commuting time.
However, many automobiles in urban areas can cause an environmnetal problem. There are already many environmental problems, and they can just worsen them. For example, greenhouses gases in the atmosphere are rapidly damaging the ozone layer, and exhaust fumes from moving vehicles will also affect it. Many developing countries share the similar problems, and it is mostly because of those cars on the roads.
In conclusion, individuals’ cars have both advantages and disadvantages, but I personally believe that they have more negative effects. This is because the environment can be damaged by the emission of the pollutants from their cars and it keeps increasing. |
