The first line graph shows the amount of
money spent by British parents on their children’s sports, and the second one
compares the number of children who participated in three sports in Britain
from 2008 to 2014. Overall, it is clear that there was a
constant increase in the money spent by parents in Britain on their kids sports
during the 6-year period. Also noticeable was that football was the most
popular sport among British children over the same period of time. According to the first graph, it is
apparent that the amount of money that British parents spent on their
childrens' children's sport activities rose significantly (크게 중요한 건 아니긴 한데, 여기는 significantly보다는 steadily 등으로 바꿔주시는 게 낫습니다. 그래야 표 전체를 포괄할 수 있어요.) from 20 pounds in each month on
average in 2008 to above 30 pounds by end of the period. Looking at the second graph more closely,
one can see that football had the highest figure with more than 7.5 million
children. In the beginning, nearly 2.5 million children participated in
swimming, while athletics was the least popular sports. However, the number of
students who did do athletics shot up in 2010 and overtook the figure for swimming.
Yet, athletics' figure started to fall from 2012 and in 2014, the figure for
athletics and swimming became similar.
