▶ Your Answer : I do not agree with the opinion that foreign tourists should pay more mount of money for their visitings to cultural and historical sites than local people for the following three reasons which are moral, economical, practical reasons.
Firstly, for the moral reason, it is hard to find an excuse for imposing additional fees to foregin visitors. The culutral and historical attractions do not discriminate people by their nationalities. Regardless of one's nationality, the assets of our civilization give us the same insights and touching feelings. If our cultural and historical sites serve the same thing, we should charge evenly. The great legacys of our civilization is not only belongs to a single country but also for every one.
Secondly, if we put ourself to their shoes, it would be quite unfair to pay more on attractions while we are spending our money in their countries. In the middle of tourism, we pay for transportation, accomodation, and foods at local area. Tourist are already contributing to visiting-states local economy. Thus, imposing an additional charge for the tourist will make our tourism economy to be shrinken in the long term by hurting their minds.
Lastly, we should be pratical about what lies ahead. We can deal with these issues with moral and economical perspecitves. However, the main reason of global toursim is not that simple. By integrating the citizens on the globe, we can cultivate a new seed for a progressed globalization which can make another and better cultural and historical legacies to future generaltions. Thus, we should consider these reasons beyond the short-sighted perspective of charging more money to visitors from neighboring country.
In conclusion, with these moral, economical, and practical reasons, i would be better to say that 'if we can secure a fair fare, we can ensure much more bigger than that.' |
