Q ; It is not necessary for people to travel to other places to learn about the culture. We can learn as much as from books, films, and the Internet. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
There has been a controversial issue over whether or not traveling is not beneficial to get to know a lot of cultures anymore due to other methods such as books, films and the Internet. Nonetheless, I am of the opinion that people need to learn about various and interesting cultures by going to travel abroad for some reasons which are direct experiences and a growth of the economy.
To begin with, as people read books and watch videos about other cultures, they suffer from understanding foreigner's life and community for real. Besides, in case of going abroad, there are a lot of advantages which are talking with foreigners and walking around a famous park or museum to see a masterpiece. From these experiences, young people and juvenile are able to adjust to a new culture and apply it to their plan in the future.
Through traveling to study cultures, some industries which are related to this culture develop and also make a big growth on our economy as well. In this era of globalization, there is a huge amount of cultures that are more complex than the past due to a mix of various cultures. By these phenomenons, the economy begins to grow, affected by tourists and development. Hence, it would be sure that traveling is more effective than not going abroad in terms of the economy.
In short, both opponents and proponents have debated this disputable issue. However, from my perspective, I would firmly argue that traveling abroad to learn new cultures is helpful to study foreign languages and understand the real lives of local people, concerning that young people and our society will benefit from it.
