Designing residential houses is are often considered important in the process of modernisation of a city because how it looks determines its impression. The citizens might complain if new houses look unfamiliar to them and think that they should have similarities in appearance with other houses around. In this essay, I will discuss more about this opinion with the opposite view and present my own mine.
In detail, in some towns, the consistency of outlook of houses can contribute to their historical values, and they do not allow any change on them to protect history. This conservativeness comes from a respectful belief that there are real people who actually live in, and the houses are the background place of their moments and life. For some people, changing houses can mean changing their time spent in the houses.
Differently, the government should allow more houses to be built in new ways if their citizens prefer changes in living. Many modernised cities nowadays tend to adopt advanced technology inside home and futuristic look outside and also use different materials such as glasses instead of woods. These changes might not be so historical, but they can have iconic values because of the originality of the design made by house owners.
To be sure, I personally believe that designing houses should not be restricted by the council because it can hinder development of the areas. It can be the way to express the differences and uniqueness of the buildings, and furthermore, the cities. |
