Your Answer ▼ It is a common belief that government can
invade individual freedom to maintain social security. (문장을 연결해주세요) Since there are a variety
of things that threaten society worldwide nowadays. However, I firmly believe
that the government shouldn’t infringe on people’s freedom because people have
the right to protect their privacy. To begin with, it is true that there are so
many factors that put our society in danger such as bombing, gun-related accidents,
and poisonous chemicals. For those reasons, Some people argue that we should
allow the government to infringe on our freedom for social protection. For
instance, at the airport, there are inspections for our luggage and body to
search for any threatening devices. And all people allow doing so because they want
to get rid of all the possible dangerous factors. Even though it is clearly an invasion
of individual freedom, they follow those regulations because they know the importance
of social security.
However, if we allow the government to infringe
our freedom, they can access our social privacy. It could be well-used for the security
purpose, however, if the government cannot manage the people’s information thoroughly,
it could be misused by other people. For instance, there are some accidents
that public administration-such as bank and library-accidently reveals individual
privacy factors, which includes people’s information about name, sex, address,
and what was worse financial account. And for those who have to get opened
their information without their agreement, they have a fear that one day they
could encounter their personal information is publicly used for by someone who don’t
know. These things are really happening right next to us.
To sum up, there are some factors that government
could infringe on our freedom. However, I cannot fully agree that government can invade
our freedom. We should protect our society but we should not sacrifice our
privacy. |
