One
of the biggest advantages of economic growth, which has made a huge impact on
the citizen's life, is the enhancement of life.
Investment to various industries and
construction of facilities including buildings, roads and factories requires to
hire more employees, who is mainly the poor people, for a long time.
Thereafter, increasingly number of people can
be escaped from the poverty life, and to finish all the construction can lead
to upgrade people's life style.
That's why some countries drive the economy
growth as a top priority.
However, economic development have a severely
negative impact on nature.
To develop a country may induce the
destruction of habitat, disturbance of animal's foraging and evenly global
warming.
That is because nation's growth is followed
by building some facilities at the expense of deforestation,
emitting halmful and poluted air to the
atmosphere and so on.
On top of that, recent research studied by
Beijing National University reports that 10% of animal's habitat has
disappeared and 20% of domestic animal is endangered to extinction in China due
to industrialization from 1980.
In conclusion, although economic growth
prioritisation makes living standard better, it may play a extremely negative
role in nature and animal's life.
I am of the opinion that the drawbacks
overweigh the merits in terms of co-existence of human and animals. |
