Q.
Online news is not a reliable source of the
truth; we should only trust recognised journalists.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
A.
It is true that there are a lot of online
fake news in the world. With regards to this, some people say it is not right
to judge something with just articles that written by unknown journalists. This
essay will discuss on this topic.
As technology advances, the speed of the
information is getting faster and anyone can give and take information easily. In
this flood of information, some medias convey the fake news for their own
benefit. In order to prevent the truth from the fake news, we might think that
we should trust only recognized journalists. However, if we block minor medias
and articles, media will not be various and the opportunity for other small
media will be disappear. Therefore, I strongly believe we should have a
perception of embrace the online news.
However, I do not think the government should
make a law that imposes penalty for the fake news. Countless damage caused by
fake news is occurring. To prevent this, the government should involve in. it
is because, the greater fake news become, the greater the damage of media environment.
If the fake news became more, a majority of people will only trust a recognized
journalist. This can lead to monopoly system. Not only this, it is hard to
decide which one is recognized or credible articles.
To conclude, there is no doubt that there
are a lot of fake online news. However, in order to prevent monopoly of specific
media company, people should embrace online news and the government should
involve in this issue.
