The line graph represents the number of enrolments of Iranian, Greek and Turkish students at Sheffield University from 2005 to 2009.
Overall, the number of students from Iran and Turkey gradually increased between 2005 and 2009, while that of Greek students saw a declining trend during the same period.
In 2005 and 2006, it is evident that the number of Greek students who enrolled at the university was a lot higher than others. There were 180 Greek students, 40 Iranian students and 20 Turkey students in 2005. Even though the number of students from Greece decreased while those from two other countries rose, Greek students outnumbered the others in 2006. However, the number of Greek students’ enrolment dropped dramatically to around 70 in 2007, which made the figure the same with the number of Iranian students. On the other hand, the number of Turkish students’ enrolment increased to 90 in the same year, which was more than the others. In 2008, the number of Greek students barely changed and hovered around 70, while that of Turkey and Iranian students reached approximately 105 and 85 respectively. The number of students from Turkey and Iran inclined to around 120 and 160 each in 2009, but the number of Turkish students went down to around 45.
