The given table shows the amount of economic value of foreign students in the US in five years term from 2005 to 2015 while the bar graph illustrates the number of international students from three Asian countries in 2005 and 2015. In general, the constant increase of economic value of international students in the US can be described by the growing number of students from Asian countries including China which showed the steep surge on its figure.
To be specific, the contribution of international students to the US’s economy was around 10 billion dollars in the year of 2005. However, it became more than triple after 10 years at 35.8 billion dollars. When it comes to the number of students from Asia in the US, the number of students from given three countries went up in the same period. Especially, China showed surprising surge from 30 thousand to 330 thousand students. The India, which was the biggest student export country in 2005 also doubled its number within 10 years. Meanwhile, South Korean students in the US only showed small increase from 90 thousand to 110 thousand.
