There are two
opposing opinions of developing sports facilities; whether the government should
focus on constructing specialised facilities for only athletes or those for the
public. Some people argue that sports places are more necessary for people to
enhance their well-being life. However, others strongly believe that it has to
be existed for the international success of the member of the national sports
team.
Firstly,
there are some negative viewpoints of developing sports fields for a national
sports team. According to them, these facilities are more necessary for the
average people with the purpose of individuals' well-being life as a whole. To
be more precise, due to the relatively increased number of sports places for
the sportsmen and women, there are few places to be utilised by the citizens,
which could dampen the public's enthusiasm for the sports. Furthermore, it can
negatively affect the individual's health since the time spending workout could
be reduced significantly.
On the other hand,
according to another section of society, they firmly claim that construction of
specific sports field for the athletes is essential to develop national,
international reputation. A lot of countries have been supporting now to enhance
the capability of their national sports team in each sports event, providing
private facilities to be able to concentrate on their training. As a result,
their efforts have been rewarded by getting medals and setting new remarkable
records and also contributed to the development of international reputation,
promoting their country. We can always witness those incredible scenes,
especially during World Cups and Olympics via media or directly.
In conclusion, there
are some concerns about developing only specialised sports facilities because
of the greater good. However, in my opinion, I also think that there are also lots of benefits of advancing the
professional sports fields to achieve a national and international reputation. |
