It is true that
nowadays more and more people have not concerned about their neighbours anymore
due to development of the Internet technology and mobile devices, as a
consequence. In my opinion, there are some causes that make people less
sociable than before, and we can solve these shortcomings by clearly noticing
the importance of the interpersonal relationship.
To begin with, there
are some demerits of the halt of communication with our neighbours. With the
more advanced IT services, we can readily keep in touch with friends and
families regardless of places and time by utilising practical mobile and online
applications such as free text message and facetime. Because of this, people's
interpersonal boundaries have shrunk significantly than before, which makes
people only communicate with others who already have socialised and relatively
reduced the time spending with their neighbours. For example, it is evident
that before the technology is developed, we used to often gather around
neighbours together almost every day and converse with them directly face to
face.
Therefore, in order
to solve, or at least minimise these problems, we have to try to enhance our
awareness of the importance of interpersonal relationships around us. Firstly,
by creating various social clubs with neighbours, people are able to socialise
with them more frequently than before, fostering intensified fellowships
amongst neighbours. Moreover, not only that, also people can make a lot of
simple but effective attempts such as giving delightful greeting and gestures
to individuals, which can be great means to recreate our once close
relationship between neighbours.
In conclusion,
recently reduced time spending on socialisation with neighbours can be severe
problems. However, I strongly believe that we can recover our neighbourship
with people themselves continuously trying to aware the importance of the
socialisation with individuals around them. |
