There are pros and cons for the opinion about whether students’ studying food science is more beneficial than studying important subject such as math or science. Some people think that student’s studying food science can contribute to food industry development. However, in my opinion, it is required for governments’ reinforcing curriculum focusing on important subjects is necessary for students can contribute to technology development. It can be said that governments’ reinforcing important subject curriculum is not a selection but a necessity in the aspect that students can contribute to development of technology. On the one hand, students’ studying food science can make it possible for themselves to develop the food industry. Even though there are other factors for it, nothing is more fundamental factor than students’ studying food science. According to Dr. Kim, one of the most distinguished professors at Chungnam University in Koera, over 85.2% of the college students in Korea, who have studied the science of food, contributed to invention of rich-nutrition Kimchi. It shows how strongly students’ studying food science affects development of food industry in a positive way. On the other hand, students’ studying focusing on important subjects such as math or science can allow students to devote to the development of technology. Despite the fact that students’ studying important subjects is not the only element for it, it is the most invaluable opportunity that can bring about students’ contribution about development of technology. Let’s take ‘Happy Together’, the curriculum specialized in science run by Hanbat University to show how studying important subjects affects student’s contribution to development of technology as an example. Hanbat University contributed to students’ studying science mainly by designing curriculum focusing on science. As a result, students could invent a highly-ranked app in the worldwide app store. Hence, there is no doubt that government should not hesitate to reinforce curriculum focusing on important subjects. In conclusion, students’ devoting to the development of technology can be considered the positive aspect of the issue, and thus government should put the emphasis on reinforcing curriculum focused on important subject. |
