More and more
people are going to university. Some people study for getting a job, but others
study fundamental field such as biology and math at university. I firmly
believe universities should provide skills related to basic science. This essay
will discuss both views and give my own opinion.
Generally speaking,
There are two reasons why people believe that universities should teach students
to adapt better at workplaces. The primary reason for this is that people go to
university to get a job. Many people think they can earn more money than
working as a person who graduated from high school. Furthermore, people can
have more job opportunities when they have bachelor’s degree. It is true that
professors can offer job opportunities, and sometimes they can recommend CEOs
to hire their students.
However, it must
be said that there are several arguments to the contrary. Perhaps, the
strongest argument is that universities should focus on not skills for work but
skills for basic science. If people only concentrate on getting a job, the
field of science and economics can not be developed. Secondly, university is educational
institutes which give people a knowledge for its own sake. If people want to
learn about job skills and job experience, they can go to vocational schools.
In conclusion what people learn at university
is a topic which will continue to demand our attention to the foreseeable future.
I believe that universities should focus on fundamental subjects to develop the
world. If people ignore this phenomenon, the future of our society will be in
banger.
