Looking at the chart more closely, one can see that the proportions of spending in environmental protection were the lowest in the three countries, which were 1% or less than 1%. On the other hand, expenditure of the three countries in health accounted for roughly 7.5% respectively, which were the highest figures in Germany and UK, while the percentage of spending in public services is the highest with 8.6% in Italy. Meanwhile, spending in economic affairs made up around 4% in the three countries. In addition, the rate of expenditure in education was about 4% in Germany and Italy, while this figure accounted for 6.4%, which was the second largest in UK.
