The growth of online shopping will one day lead to all shops in towns and cities closing.
Do you agree or disagree?

In these days, online shopping rapidly get growth. The customer is welcome of the growth of online shopping due to convenience, but the owner of offline shops in towns and cities faced with a crisis of closing. I believe the growth of online shopping leads the many shops to be closed.
First of all, in the cost point of view, online shopping is prior to offline shopping. Offline shops basically needs to handle the high costs of renting space and displaying their products. Relatively, the online shop doesn’t need them, so that online shopping can provide cheaper items than one in offline shops. For this reason, even the customer who has high loyalty to offline shop easily can move on online shopping and then it lead to getting worse of the profits in offline shops.
Second of all, the online shops have the advantage that the customers are not under the restriction of time and space. To buy products, the cost to go there spending time takes place in offline shops. However, the customer in online shops can buy items anytime and anywhere, even that students can buy notes in the middle of having classes. This convenience makes the customer move and it leads to getting low benefits in offline shops. Finally, the offline shop couldn’t stand the competition comparing with online shopping.
To sum up, the online shopping steadily gets growth, in which the cost is relatively cheaper and there is almost no limitation of time and space. Based on these reasons, I firmly opine that the growth of online shopping by the above advantages leads to offline shops in town and city closing.
