Comparing to the past few decades, the eating habits of children
have been completely changed their form. There are some suggestions that this
change had a negative influence on the health of the young. However, I partially
agree that it only has disadvantages on the healthy life for children.
On one hand, the typical view, which considers the current changing
trend as wrong.
The recent change of eating
seems to be completely different from the past ages. Increasing sugar and oils,
which derives the obesity and diabetes. Also, high calories junk foods have
been widely spread which apparently spoil the regular life of children. For
example, based on the research on 2015, the child obesity rate had been increased by
11% in contrast to the last 5 years. Moreover, it had been figured out that
this increment significantly reduces the expected lifetime for the subjects.
On the other hand, it contributes to change the focus on children
health regarding their digestion.
Before it had been got the spotlight, no one actually cares about which food children have to intake or
not. However, after the negative results had been notably shown up, the
movement of enlightening to improving the food quality for children have been
begun to arise such as campaign and regulations. For instance, in the UK, when
the term of the rapid rise in the obesity rate, the government eventually decided
to charge a sugar tax.
In conclusion, this complete novel change not only had had
bad effects but also reinforced the environment for children to have better
diet which leads them to an improved condition. |
