These days, there are a lot of people who are worrying about environmental issues which is strongly harmful for the earth. Among a plenty of environmental problems, some people think declining in the population of particular species of plants and animals is the most considerable problem, while the others argue that there are more serious problems in our environment. On the one hand, some people insist that the ecosystem that has kept stable stance will destroyed if the trend of declining in the number of some living organisms is consistently progress. Nest then, it will be more serious problem that is difficult to handle in short time because destroyed ecosystem must affect adversely to human in the future. For instance, if the number of cows fall gradually, people lose one of the important ingredient that is usually used for lots of foods. On the other hand, although it is no doubt that it is critical to try to preserve other living organism like plants and animals, I completely agree with the opposite argument. The main reason of my statement is that there are many problems that must be solved immediately because they have high possibility to generate fatal effects on human. The extremely increased air pollution is one of the representative example of these problems, it affect human fatally and its consequence can be recognized rapidly as more and more people get disease caused by air pollution. In conclusion, in my view, although there are probably a little bit truth in both arguments, I believe the declining numbers of some living organisms except human is not the one of the majority of environmental issues because it can not affect people directly. |
