Your Answer ▼ There is controversy over whether online news is not trustworthy and recognised journalists are the only sourceof the truth. I firmly belive that we cannot trust online news these days for several reasons. To begin with, so much untested information emerged in the Internet as online content developed. That is, the number of view helps people to make a fortune so there are a lot of news that is not reliable and only for the views. For instance, in Korea the issue of fake online news is so serious. Bad Internet users blame many celebrities like singers and actors, and many stars have suicided consistently because of them. The most important point is that most news is fake. Therefore, the problem of unreliable online information is serious. On top of that, recognised journalists tend to avoid yellow journalism. Because they are proud of their jobs, they show moral attitude. They don't make fake news and check the news again and again before they report the news. It is well known to the public. To be specifis, according to a poll, the majority of respondents ranked recognised journalists over online news when they were asked about which source they consider more reliable. This illustrates numerous people think that information in the Internet is not trustworthy and only news from recognised journalists is valuable. Therefore, it is important that we believe only the recognised journalists, not online news. In conclusion, I am more conviced that we should only trust journalists that are already recognised and exclude fake online news because there are so much fake news in the Internet and recognised journalism prevent untested news by checking several times. |
