The bar graph compares the information on
the population size of divorced people in Finland and Sweden. The data was collected
throughout five consecutive years, starting from 2011.
Initially, in 2011, a significant ratio of people
who once married were found to be divorced in Sweden and Finland, with approximately
forty-five percent and thirty-seven percent, respectively. Following 2012, the shifts
in proportion in two countries have shown reverse trend during the remaining
period. In the case of Sweden, the percentage of divorced people was close to fifty
percent in 2012, and gradually declined over the next three years, reaching thirty-seven
percent in 2015. On the other hand, an increasing proportion of people have gotten
divorced in Finland; the figure increased by about ten percent to be over forty
percent during the 4 years.
Overall, between 2011 to 2015, the majority
of people in both Finland and Sweden remained married without getting divorced.
Also, Sweden has successfully managed to reduce the divorce rate throughout the
five-year period, and the opposite was true for Finland. |
