The line graph compares information on the
population of foreign tourists to 3 different types of traveling areas: coasts,
mountains, and lakes. The data was collected in a particular European nation throughout
two decades starting from 1987.
Initially, in 1987, the biggest number (40
thousands) of travelers were found to have visited
a coast during their vacation, being twice as many as the number of people who visited
mountains (20 thousands), and four times bigger than that of lake visitors (10
thousands). For the next 15 years, every sites have shown increasing trends in
the number of visitors with some fluctuations. Among three categories, the
popularity on lake has changed most dramatically, reaching to over 7 times of
its original visitor population size in 2002. However, the year 2002 was marked
a turning point for the population size of the lake viewers, and with a following
downward trend, the number of lake travelers dropped to 50 thousands in 2007.
Overall, every travelling sights have shown
upward trends in a macro level. However, it is important to mark that there was
a steep decline in the number of lake visitors in 2002. |
