Your Answer ▼ Considering of the effect of environment, some people assert that poor monetary background is the most important reason of crime. On the other hand, the others argue that crime is just a result of a criminal’s mean nature. There are several reasons for these conflicting viewpoints. Firstly, people who highlight the importance of economic background claim that financial difficulty bring about a bad environment to a person and these surrounding leads a person to learn improper acts. For example, an individual who are surrounded with bad friends could be affected detrimentally by them. Indeed, there are a lot of statistics that there are more people who do drugs and alcohol in poverty area than rich area. And these improper habits will make someone to commit something illegal easily. Therefore, some people insist that we cannot ignore the impact of circumstances. Conversely, opponents say that the effect of background is extremely low and the ultimate factor of a crime is a born nature. They assure that a person who has a good personality will never perpetrate offense even though he was grown up in a poor household. Actually, while being raised in a same background, some children grow up to well-conditioned citizens and someone becomes a felon. In addition, the recent research evidence show that there is a criminals’ gene which is discovered from culprits commonly. For these reasons, some people allege the thing what makes criminals is their nature. In conclusion, regarding this evidence, I support the idea that regard born personality as a principal cause of a crime. I think that the impact of circumstances is just peripheral for people which can boost the effect of nature which is a fundamental reason of illegal acts. |
