Your Answer ▼ Some people argue that quantized value, such as price, is the most trustworthy measurement to compare the quality of products or services. However, I strongly claim that price does not always represent whole quality of products or services.
First of all, it is not true that all expensive merchandise will be better than cheaper ones. For example, new iPhone series are released annually. The prices of newly released technology devices increase every year, but many consumers commented that they did not notice significant changes in the functions of their devices, compared to their old phones. Moreover, many high-end brands' products are expensive even though there are no big differences with cheaper products. Therefore, it can be said that comparing quality is more important than considering prices only.
Furthermore, for services or treatment, the important thing that should be taken into account is not the price, but the subject that offers services. Since all people's perspective is different, the priority they consider when receiving services also varies. For instance, some might go to cheaper hospitals since they like how doctors in that certain hospital cure them. Also, people might be disappointed at an expensive restaurant since their priority is the taste of food, not the interior designs. The main point is that the determining factor is not the price, but different styles of services. Hence, consumers should consider various factors besides price.
In conclusion, some might consider price is the most important thing to compare when buying things or services. Nevertheless, I insist that price is not the overview of certain products or treatments and that it cannot provide a balanced comparison. |
