It is debatable
whether parents should not allow their children to watch television in order to inspire their children them to learn intently. This is an intriguing question
because opinions concerning this issue can be different relying on the
individual perspectives. However, in my opinion, I support that to watch
television is beneficial for children for the
following reasons,
To begin with, watching television may be able to be
helpful to study. In fact, children could gain numerous benefits by watching
television, like when they watch educational
programs such as documentary about particular animals and plants. In this case,
children are able to acquire a wide range of information. For example, I will
talk about my experience to illustrate this point. When I was little, my
parents allowed and promoted me to watch the
Korea nature documentary which was famous and advantageous for students.
Particularly, I could learn many a lot of
knowledge about mysterious animal kingdoms,
plants and their means of adaptation to the environment. My interest increased day by day. So
I went to the library in my town and searched for related books intentionally.
However, I felt that my knowledge was deficient and I wanted to learn more.
Finally I made up my mind to decide my major at university, which was biology.
In this regard, the television plays a good role in providing children with
beneficial information
On top of that, children can obtain a variety of
experience indirectly. To be specific, they are
able to get information of other counties by watching programs. In addition,
children can know about other nations’ events and cultures and so on. There are diverse
limitations on visiting all around the world in order to learn others
counties other countries’ culture. To watch
television is a great way to learn about foreign
countries and broaden my view of the world. For
instance, There was a poll conducted by the Korean Times in 2015, with 200
middle school students as respondents over one semester. The purpose of the
survey was that how much students’ level of common
sense about others countries increased. The
researchers let students watch international news for an
hour every day. What they found was intriguing. The students’ degree of the knowledge became better than before, since they were able to realize what happened to
others places and what recently global issues was learn about global issues. This proves that the television positively affects to gain knowledge
about international conditions.
All things
considered, it is my belief that my argument regarding this topic has been
effectively and precisely delivered with the reasons mentioned above. Never
should we forget this issue may have a huge impact on our future.
