Lastly, the lecturer points out that the government's financial help does not advantageous to economic development of suburban communities. Farmers do not have to hire a lot of employees these days. Rather they buy more apparatuses. Also iIt only benefits for farm owners not really residents. There was not any developments in rural places by getting government's money. This refutes the reading passage's claim that subsidies are useful for improving economy in rural communities by reducing poverty and rising employments.
