There is an argument over whether or not grades can
encourage students to learn. Some people believe that students can have more
desire to learn by receiving their grade reports. My view, however, is that
letting students know their grades is not effective that much. This is because
grades can make students who got a bad score feel a sense of despair by ranking
students in order. Moreover, grades cannot encourage students who already do
not want to study.
To begin with, 두괄식 문형에 맞게 학생들에게 좌절감을 줄 수 있는 요인이라는 나의 주장을 먼저 소개하고 설명을 연결해주세요. most schools provide grades to their students.
The grades are based on the score tested by the examination which is created by
teachers. Teachers usually estimate their students following the grades what
students had. If teachers can deal with their students equally between high-score
students and low-score students, it would be not a no problem. However, it is easy
for teachers to connect the students with their grades and it will have an
impact on teachers’ behavior. For example, particularly in South Korea, it is a
huge social problem that many students commit suicide themselves for grades. They
feel that they are unnecessary existence presents because teachers and parents do not
respect them saying that grades are most important in living a life. This social
problem apparently shows that grades discourage students from learning. to learn.
On top of that,
study and even do not know why they have to go to school. For these students,
grades are just a piece of paper. They do not care about their scores at all.
Therefore, those students are necessary to know why they should learn before
being evaluated by examinations at a few times. If they know the reasons why
they need to study, they will be able to have a think about learning thinking to learn. In my case,
I had a friend, Suzy, who were was not interested in studying at all. Sometimes, she
even did not come to school. Therefore, our teacher approached to teach her in
other ways. The teacher gave special assignments in various genres., which is Although they were interesting but works not exactly assignments exactly, that make it made Suzy get interested in
accomplishing something. As a result, Suzy found her interest interesting in singing and
she entered the renowned music conservatory.
So for these reasons, I do not agree with the statement that
grades can be helpful for students to have a desire to learn. I believe grade
reports have a negative effect on students.
