Some people think that
childhood is not as crucial a stage as it seems.
However, I absolutely agree with the statement that childhood is the most
important stage in a person’s life, and I have several reasons to have this
idea. One reason is that most of habits of a person are formed in this
stage, and another reason is that this phase is the perfect
time for learning languages.
First of all, people
usually form their habits in their childhood and they which persist during the rest of their lives. In fact,
it is hard to change or correct habits formed in childhood. Therefore, if a
child forms a good habit, it will be highly beneficial to the child for the rest of his life. I
would like to take an example of my personal
experience to make my point. When I was a kid, my parents let made me wake up early in the morning every day. I sometimes wanted to sleep more and to
wake up late, but I could not, because of my parents’ enthusiasm to make me a
diligent person and it became my fixed habit. However Therefore, due to this desirable habit, I am able to
manage my time efficiently now. I am certain that this habit became the
stepping stone to my personal success
In addition, the
childhood is a really crucial time to learn languages. This is because
childhood is the most sensitive and receptive phase in a person’s life.
According to the recent study conducted by Seoul National University, most of
multilingual persons acquired their linguistic abilities in their ages 3 to 8. This means that childhood is the perfect
time for learning languages, not only the mother tongue but also other foreign
languages. For instance, My cousin had lived in France when
he was a kid because his father was a diplomat.
Therefore, he could learn English and even French language naturally and
he speaks these languages very fluently when getting old at the present.
In this regard, I definitely agree with the idea that the
childhood is a really crucial phase in one’s life, because the childhood is an essential stage for children to form helpful habits
and to learn languages.
