Undoubtedly, a development of the Internet has brought a lot of changes to people’s life. Some people think that the Internet dose not help students study effectively. They may think that students can be disturbed by diverse interests on the Internet. However, I do not agree with the opinion above. This is because students can save their time and share learning materials with others easily. To begin with, students can save their time because of the Internet. There is a lot of information on the Internet and students can get some information supporting their studies easily. It can make students not to go to other places such as a library and thus, they can save their time to move. For instance, when I was in high school, I should go to a school library to get resources for my homework. If the library did not have enough books, I had to go to another library. It always made me tired, using my time to move around. However, one day, my father bought me a computer and I could find all of information on the Internet with one mouse click. I did not need to use my time to go to the several libraries anymore, and Thus, It helped me save my time to finish my assignment, On top of that, students can share learning materials with others easily. The Internet can make people communicate with others easily. Therefore, students can ask for reference resources to professors through an e-mail, and share the materials with friends by chatting regardless of time and space. Thus, students can study more effectively. For example, my sister was in a English conversation study group and when she had some questions about English, she sent an email to her teacher right away. She also communicated with other students by chatting and they shared some educational videos for studying English. My sister said when she needed someone to help her, the Internet was very useful for her to communicate with others since she did not need to wait for the next lecture and meeting. This story shows that with the help of the Internet, students can share the learning materials with others easily.
To sum up, I believe that the Internet helps students learn more effectively. This is because students can save their time to get information and share the learning materials with others easily on the Internet. |
