Some people might say that they disagree
with the idea that the elderly need exercise more that young people do.
However, I personally believe that I agree with that idea. There are two reasons.
First, since the elderly are weak than the young, more exercise is important to
them. Second, exercise could give pleasure to the elderly's boring life.
To begin with, in common, people get more
weaker as they are older. In addition, exercise is essential for many people
who want to improve health. Therefore, the elderly should exercise regularly to
fit their body. For instance, I will talk about my grandfather and his friend
to elucidate my point. In the case of my grandfather, he always go out and
exercise in morning more often than me. Unlike him, his friend never go out and
do some sort of activity. When it is winter time, my grandfather always keeps
him healthy. However, his fried often get sick and go to hospitals. According
to doctor, thanks to regular exercise, his body age is almost 40 years old.
This case shows how important regular exercise is.
On the top of that, the elderly could be
more happier by working out. In many cases, they have boring life and just do
mundane like eating, cleaning and watching TV. If they have other plan without
such things, it could cause them to be more excited. And the good example of
this plan is regular exercise. For instance, there is a study conducted by a
group of psychology majors in Korea university to determine whether exercise
could affect feeling of the elderly. There are two groups monitored. The first
group was formed of old people who work out regularly and the other group was
consisted of old people who never exercise in their life. After watching, the
researchers concluded that first group was much happy than second group. In the
following interview, the researchers said that the reason was that exercise
make hormone which becomes people to be more happier. So, This study demonstrates that the
elderly are more happier by regular exercise.
To sum up, exercising is essential for weak
people like the old and gives positive effect to the elderly. In this regard, exercise
is more necessary to old people.
