Some people might think
that it is more valuable for teachers to have intimate relationship with
students than to be experts in their fields. However, in my opinion, having
more advanced ability in their fields is more important for teachers because
the fundamental purpose of a teacher is carrying their knowledge to students
and then the students would also follow prominent teachers with their
willingness.
To begin with, delivery of
academic knowledge things is the
essential object to all teachers. It is the fact that concentrating more over
on relationships among students than being specialists in scholar fields is
dangerous approach in teaching. For example, when I was in high^school, there are were two teachers in history.
One was the teacher who were really liked
to connect with students in school rather than teach history well. The other
was the teacher who were highly strict in classes but have a lot of knowledge
about history. Seemingly, former teacher was more popular, though, latter
teacher actually had much popularity among students.
This illustrates that good teaching with one’s great academic level is better
than intimate connecting.
On top of that, most
students follow teachers having extraordinary skills in their own educating
fields. Actually, students are more likely to ask something difficult to
intelligent teachers. For instance, I had always tried to meet the English
teacher ,^who was
are the most proficient English teacher in our middle school, to
question hard problems in the textbook. As well as answering s my questions, she told me a lot of useful
information to study English. I remember the teacher to as a the best
English teacher that I ever met. Therefore, I think if teachers have good
knowledge in his or her fields, student congregate to them to learn.
To
sum up, the first mission that teachers should have is getting an excellent
knowledge in their fields and teachers who are like this are followed by many
students. In this regard, I think it is more important for teachers to be
experts in their fields than to connect with students.
