First, the professor contends that an old Chinese map is closer to fiction. To be specific, there is no evidence that it is found in 1418, it is clearly made after in 1492 that Columbus arrived. This map included two hemispheres which did not exist in 1500s. This casts doubt on the reading passage's claim that the Chinese map depicted North America, and it is represented with incredible accuracy.
Next, the professor insists that the artifacts that were (주어 동사 불일치) found in the Pacific Northwest can not be a proof. This is hard to understand that unearthed a few ancient Chinese coins can be (evidence는 불가산명사입니다) evidence that they came before because it is too flimsy. This counters the reading passage's assertion that archaeologists have unearthed ancient Chinese coins which had a distinctive style from the early 1400s at several sites in the Pacific Northwest.
Finally, the professor argues that the lacquering technique that is (be동사 필요) shared by Chinese and Mexico is just a coincidence. He gave an example to make his point. Pyramid located in Egypt and America does not mean there was a connection between them. It means just they had same building style and this can be applied to the lacquering technique too. This refutes the reading passage's suggestion that a traditional Chinese lacquering technique was in use in Mexico prior to Columbus' arrival.
