Some people might argue that employees who always follow their manager's instructions are more valuables to their companies than employees who try to find new or better ways, while others do not. Both arguments may have their own reasons to support their views. If I had to choose one, I would say that employee should try to look forward other better ways than just listen to their managers always.
First of all, trying to bring new ideas increases the effectiveness in work. Nowadays, thanks to the advancement of technology, people can find tons of useful information with just one click. People search more better idea and learn the better way for work. Also, if more people share their ideas, it leads bring more better ways or thinking for the groups. When I was in human resource department, I had to post job openings on the potal sites. My manager asked me to post it on the company homepage, but I thought the homepage was really outdated and old-fashioned. I suggested uploading job posting on the social media. My manger and team member accepted this idea and it attrated a lot of applicants.
Also, following always leader's order can lead team to the wrong way. It is doubt that boss's ideas are always good. They are also people. They can make a mistake or make a wrong decision. However, if the employees always follow their instructions, it brings serious problem to the company. When one of my friends was in quality assurance department in the cosmetic company, she tested the ingredients of it. One day, she found that one skin care product had some problem to damage people's skin. She told the fact to the boss, but the boss asked her to decive the test result and deliver the products. She listened to the the manager and send the products to the customer. Later the customer got some skin troubles and sued the company. Finally, the company had to pay penalty for it.
To sum up, I believe that my explanations above sufficiently prove the advantage of trying to find new ways than just following manager's instructions always. Obviously, the significance of effectiveness and possible problems show that thinking new ideas will be benefit them more in the future.
