Most people do not like to take exams and argue that taking exam can make students stressed out, so that they lost interest in study. However, I firmly believe that taking exams is beneficial to students for its advantages.
First of all, taking exams can make students concentrate on a class class materials. This is because students who want to get a good grade on exam will soon recognize that it is difficult to memorize all materials at a night before the exam, and it would be better to concentrate on a class class everyday and review regularly. idea자체는 reasonable합니다. This will form better class atmosphere and help students acquire knowledge in the long term. To illustrate this point, when I was a freshman in university, I took a science class. The professor let us know that we will have exams every four week. Since the amount of class materials was large, and science is not easy to understand, I and my classmates voluntariliy concentrated on every class and reviewed the contents together after the classes. Thanks to our endeavor to get a good grade on exam, our class atmosphere was better than other classes that did not require any exam, and we were able to understand science better. Therefore, taking exams can encourage students to study harder in a class.
On top of that, exams can motivate student to study more efficiently by showing their level of understanding. The reason is that through exams, we can see on what part we are excellent or bad. If a student get a poor grade on an exam, he/she can be motivated to be better next time; If a student get a high grade on an exam, he/she can be even more interested in the subject. On the other hand, if we study without taking exams, there is no way to check our understading, and studying everyday without seeing any result can be monotonous. To take my personal example, when I was a senior in high school, I was interested in a subject called Korean Literature, so that I studied it very hard. After a few weeks, I took the exam and got an excellent grade on Korean Literature and a poor grade on English. I was excited to see the result of my effort on Korea Literature and motivated to study other subjects as well. As a result, I started studying every subject and got a higher grade on English on the next exam. If it were not for the first exam, I would not been able to improve my total grade. Thus, students can be motivated to study by their grade on exams.
To summarize, I strongly believe that taking exams is advantageous to for students, because it can make them concentrate on a class better and motivated to study harder by seeing their grades. Although taking exams can be stressful for students, it is a valuable part of studying in the long term.

(에세이 문제 자체에서 Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
