Some people think that to stay well-informed, people should get information from various news sources rather than sticking at one source. In my opinion I agree with the statement that getting information from various news sources. People will have chance to have various information and will have chance to have better and correct information.
To begin with, people will have chance to have more information. These days there are a lot of different ways to get information such as internet, TV, Blogs or even people around us. If we just stick with one source the information that we can get must be limited. For example TV news, in Korea, there is many types of broadcasting companies such as KBS, MBC, SBS. They usually broadcast same issues at the same time but there are sometimes that certain issues that only KBS can broadcast. In this case it must be hard for people to be well-informed if they just stick with one source.
On top of that they will have better and correct information. When people just get information from one news source they will have no chance to compare. What happen if the information is not correct? They have no choice but to believe it. But if people get information from various news sources they will have chance to compare the issues. By comparing the issues, they can find out what is going on better and they will know wheatear it is correct information or not.
To sum up, if we get information from various news sources people can have more information than just sticking at one news source. Also they will have chance to have better and correct information. In this regard I believe that in order to stay well-informed, people should get information from various news sources. |
