▶ Your Answer :
In today`s society, many people think younger people should be more interested in exercise for the sake of physical growth. However, I firmly disagree with this view. This is because first, since elder people have weaker physical strength than younger people, it`s necessary for elder people to do exercise in order to live a healthy life. Second, doing exercise can provide elder people with valuable environment where they can interact with other people.
First of all, since elder people usually have weaker immune system and physical strength than younger people, a regular exercise is indispensable to older people in order to stay physically healthy. On the other hand, younger people do not need to pay a lot of attention to stay their physical healthy as much as older people do because they are still strong and energetic. According to a study done by Korea health care research center, it revealed that elder people should do exercise at least three time a week in an attempt to stay physically healthy. Otherwise, they are more likely to vulnerable to a wide range of diseases such as cancer and heart disease. Through this research, it is clearly proved to me that older people should be more interested in doing exercise.
Second, elder people can have more opportunities to broaden their social network as they take part in various outdoor activities. It`s commonly believed that elder people usually spend most of time in staying alone at home after their sons grew up and go out home, which as a result cause them to have more narrow social relationship. Unfortunately, it will cause serious mental disorder such as loneliness and depression. However, if they do exercise with other people and engage in outdoor activities, they will have a chance to keep in touch with other people. According to a study done by New York Times, it revealed that elder people who take part in outdoor activities have less psychological problems such as depression, loneliness. In addition, they usually have longer life span than those who do not engage in any exercise clubs. Therefore, I strongly believe that older people should actively engage in exercise activities for the sake of not only physical health, but also mental health.
All things considered, it is my belief that my argument regarding this topic has been effectively and precisely delivered with the reasons mentioned above. Never should we forget
