First of all, teachers can provide students with different kinds of advice needed for the best decision. This is mainly because teachers have a wide range of knowledge and experiences, and it is recommended that people discuss every possible decision and its consequences in order to make the right choice. Through discussion between students and teachers, students can acquire invaluable life lessons, and take a look at the problem from different aspects. For instance, when I had to decide on which university to enter as senior in high school, I received a plenty of help from my teachers who had already gone through university. After contemplating all the list of universities they mentioned to me, I was able to make the appropriate decision on where to go for my future career. In this respect, teachers have greater effect on making optimal decision for students.
Additionally, teachers can advance students' sense of responsibility. An important reason is that teachers require students to timely and orderly carry out many crucial duties such as managing time, following rules, and cooperating with others in school. Therefore, they are able to learn the importance of obligation by teaching. For instance, my brother used to be very irresponsible and negligent when he was in the middle school. However, after being taught by the homeroom teacher who was strictly observant of rules, he complemented given assignments on time, attended the class regularly, and also became more mature, self-disciplined, and responsible for his actions. The reason was that he realized that his selfishness could have a negative impact on others by disrupting academic atmosphere of the classroom, which damages the morale of other students.
